National Honor Society
Background
In 1921, the National Association of Secondary School Principals passed a resolution to establish the National Honor Society (NHS) for the purpose of creating an enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulating a desire to render service, promoting worthy leadership, and encouraging the development of character in high school students throughout the nation. The Oak Hills Chapter of NHS was chartered on February 20, 1961.

Volunteer Opportunities
Tutoring Opportunities
There have been parents contacting NHS about tutoring for their child. This tutoring would be about once a week for an hour. If you are interested in tutoring outside of our tutoring program, please contact Susan Shockey or Ms. Ploehs.
Tutoring
If you have not talked to Susan about tutoring yet, please e-mail her. Tutoring is available Wednesdays and Thursdays after school (3-3:45) and Fridays before school (7:30-8).
