PARENT INVOLVEMENT
Dear Parent:
On Friday, November 18, the sophomore and senior classes will take part in a drill to practice how medications would be distributed in the event of a public health emergency. The drill is being held in conjunction with Green Township and Hamilton County Public Health. If you do not want your student to participate, please send a note to your student's advisory teacher.
There will be no emergency or no medication distributed to anyone – this was just a practice drill. Cities, villages and townships have been working with Hamilton County Public Health to set up points of dispensing – or PODs, which would be used to distribute medications to families in the community in the event of a disease outbreak.
In the event of a real public health emergency, you would be informed through extensive media communication that medication is available for pick-up at a designated point of dispensing.
If you would like more information about how Hamilton County Public Health regularly practices emergency preparedness, please visit www.hamiltoncountyhealth.org.
Thanks again for helping us keep our community prepared!
Oak Hills High School would like to thank all of our parent organizations for their commitment, dedication, and energy toward providing a positive environment for our students and teachers. Devoting endless hours to volunteer work, including planning and organizing of events, we recognize the important role they play in helping our students reach their potential.
Through parent-teacher communication, college planning with an Oak Hills counselor and involvement in parent and booster organizations, parents are encouraged to become active participants in their students' education. At Oak Hills High School we truly believe that a strong partnership with our parents builds the foundation for our students' continued success.
