DELSHIRE PARENTS
Parents are the most important partners in their child’s educational success. At Delshire, we work to involve parents in every facet of their student’s education. Our top priorities at Delshire are to get every parent involved and to make certain that communication between home and school is fluid and two-way.
Parents can get involved in a variety of ways. Perhaps the easiest way is to join the Delshire PTA. The PTA offers many opportunities for parent involvement in the school. We also encourage all parents to attend Open House Night, Parent/ Teacher Conferences, and various Family Nights held at Delshire.
Making certain that parents can communicate with their child’s teachers is very important to the Delhsire staff. Teachers are very easy to reach via email. Please look at the staff directory or team pages on this website to find your student’s teachers contact information. Delshire also sends out a weekly emailed newsletter, called the Dragons Lore. Contact the Delshire office to be added to the electronic mailing list. Finally, our online grade book program (for the upper grades),ProgressBook, is an important way to stay in touch. Parents have instant access to their child’s grades via any computer with an internet connection. Contact the Delshire office for more information.
At Delshire a strong partnership between parents and school builds the foundation for our students’ continued success.

Oak Hills seeking community input on district communications
Community members in the Oak Hills Local School District are encouraged to participate in an electronic survey to determine the effectiveness of current communications practices. The survey was created in Survey Monkey, which enables users to create their own Web-based opinion polls. The Oak Hills poll seeks information on familiarity and interest in various communication tools used in the district.
Parents can access the survey by clicking on the link below. “We want to ensure that we are making the best use of our resources to communicate messages to parents and other stakeholders in a timely manner,” said Gina Gentry-Fletcher, district Communications Coordinator. “It is an easy way to engage the community – to connect with them, and use their feedback as a valuable resource for improvement.”
