Dear Parents,

Thank you for your help and support in making Rapid Run Middle School a premier school and an outstanding place for our children to learn and grow each day. Rapid Run has again recieved an excellent rating from the State of Ohio. We have traditionally performed vey well on all of the Ohio Achievement Assessments and will continue to do so.

Recently we have decided to examine our focus. In light of the changing world around us, and the fact that Higher Education has never been more important in our society, we are beginning to shift our focus to the College Readiness arena.

We believe that all students should graduate from Oak Hills High School with the ability to do Freshman Level College work without remediation. Keeping that goal in mind, Rapid Run Middle School's focus will be preparing students for College Readiness using the ACT College Readiness Standards as well as measures such as the Kuder Career planning system and the ACT EXPLORE College Readiness Assessment.

With your continued help and support, we are confident that we will help our students build the skills that will thoroughly prepare them for the world outside our buildings. Thank you for everything you do, this journey would be impossible without you.
