I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Willard Sweeder, former principal at Oak Hills High School. Mr. Sweeder was a great man who loved his job and the kids at OHHS. He will be missed. Rest In Peace Mr. Sweeder.

The OHHS Choirs will be hosting it's annual Gala Fundraising luncheon and Concert on October 23. We are inviting all alumni of the choirs who would like to join us for a combined choir event that day. The theme is music that has been featured on Glee and the alumni would be joining us for a medley of Journey tunes. I'd love to spread the word so please help me by letting your friends know. Email me at hill_j@ohlsd.org. I will ask for a $10 donation to cover music which I will send to you. Rehearsals will be that same week-end and times will be set by early September. It will be a fun event, more info to follow. Send me your snail mail address when you reply so I can mail you music. If you are local, please stop by and pick it up. I'll let you know when it is in, I'd like responses by September 1 in order to get the music on time.

Hi Friends,

I hope all is well with my class-mates from the class of 1962 Oak Hills High School. Many of you I spent time with in October, 2007 for the 45 reunion and the others I was hoping to renew our friendship this October. Moving to Sarasota, Florida in 1976 has given my family a great life experience and one we will always remember. My wife Kathy of 41 years,and our daughters have been very lucky to enjoy this southern life-style for all these years. Travel is a big part of our lives and because of this we will not be in Cincinnati on the 15th of October. On this day, we will be going through disembarkation on the Crystal Symphony Cruise Ship in Montreal, Canada. We will look forward to seeing everyone at the next reunion. Please feel free to stay in touch. We would love to hear from you.

Joe Tallarigo, Class of 2003 is publishing a book of poetry.

Since 2003, Joe has about 180 songs which he is turning a book called "The First Quarter" A songwriters dream. It features songs called "Highlander Country", "Ode To Friday Nights", "Homecoming", "The Last Quarter", and an ode to Ms. Kappa called "Brush of Love". Ms.Kappa was the art 4 teacher who decorated the hallways of Oak Hills with Mosaics. My brother worked on the final one that Ms.Kappa did before she passed away.

The book also includes songs about drinking, love, heartache, and losing loved ones.
